Galvanized Threaded Rod – Full Thread Stud for Construction & Industrial Fastening
Galvanized threaded rod, also known as threaded bar or full thread stud bolt, is one of the most versatile threaded fasteners widely used in construction, steel structure, solar mounting, pipeline support and mechanical assembly.
Threaded rod is manufactured as a long bar with continuous full thread along its entire length. Users can cut the rod to any required length on-site and pair it with hex nuts and washers to create adjustable bolt connections. This flexible feature makes threaded bars extremely popular for custom mounting projects.
There are two main galvanized finishes for threaded rods: electro zinc plated and hot dip galvanized (HDG). Zinc plated threaded rod offers basic corrosion protection for indoor or dry environments, with lower cost and clean thread surface. Hot dip galvanized threaded rod provides much stronger anti-corrosion performance. The thick zinc coating covers every thread and surface of the steel substrate, resisting rust under outdoor, coastal and humid working conditions. For heavy corrosion projects, thermal diffusion zinc coated threaded rod is also available as an upgraded alternative.
Galvanized threaded rods are normally produced in carbon steel grades 4.8, 8.8, 10.9. Metric sizes from M6 up to M52 are commonly available. Standard lengths include 1m, 2m, 3m, and custom cutting service can be offered upon request.
