Double-ended bolts (also known as double-ended studs or double-ended screws) are fasteners with threads on both ends, with a smooth rod or special structure in the middle. They are mainly used in mechanical connections where frequent disassembly is required or for thick plate connections.
Structural characteristics
The threads at both ends of the double-headed bolt are usually of equal length or unequal length. The diameter range of the bolt rod is from M3 to M100mm. The materials include Q235, 45# steel, 35CrMoA, etc. The surface treatments include blackening, electroplating, phosphating, and other processes.
Typical application:
Installation of large equipment accessories: Such as reducer frames, mechanical seal seats, etc. One end is screwed into the main body, and the other end is fixed with a nut to facilitate frequent disassembly and assembly.
Thick plate connection: Suitable for scenarios where ordinary bolts cannot be used, such as steel plates, concrete structures, etc., for example, bridge steel structures, wind turbine blades, etc.
Special material connection: For example, the connection between cast iron and steel, or aluminum alloy and steel, which are heterogeneous materials, the thread parameters (such as the bm value) need to be adjusted according to the strength of the materials.
